Andrew Blauschild took up photography at the young age of only twelve years old. Uniting his love of surfing and his innate creative ability, he soon became widely known for his serene yet striking images that embody the culture and lifestyle of New York's beaches. Under his mentor, Charlie Griffin, Blauschild carefully mastered the intricate art of dye sublimation printing in order to produce his uniquely bold and colorful photographs. Blauschild's stunning work has been featured in collaborations with Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, The New York Times, and The Observer, and is held in private collections worldwide.
Blauschild was most recently honored in the Fall of 2023 with an in-depth profile titled "Finding Andrew" in the prestigious publication The Surfer's Journal. Chronicling his impressive 30-year career as a photographer and his deep connection to the ocean, "Finding Andrew" is a beautiful depiction of Blauschild's passion and zest for life.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Andrew Blauschild, acclaimed photographer, avid surfer, and fixture of New York's beach community.
